Since 2007 LAB BINÆR has been creating interdisciplinary art projects at the intersection of technology, society, and space. The collective explores new aesthetic formats where analog and digital realities interweave.
Its artistic practice is grounded in the belief that every idea demands its own medium – and sometimes that medium needs to be invented. Each project emerges through experimental processes, combining visual, acoustic, and tactile elements with participatory strategies.
LAB BINÆR engages with socially relevant issues – ranging from urban transformation and digital rituals to posthuman narratives – and translates them into site- and context-specific installations.
The team, led by founder and artistic director Benjamin Stechele, collaborates on a project basis with experts from crafts, science, and technology.
